Hosts AOF ISF AOA

Welcome & Hosts

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the World Congress on Oils and Fats and the 28th ISF Congress.

The ISF Congresses are held every two years in different countries, often as joint meetings in collaboration with national organisations. The first ISF Congress took place in Milano in 1956 and since then ISF Congresses have been held every two years, the most recent being Berlin (2001); Bordeaux (2003) and Prague (2005).

The program for the Congress will include themes related to Health and Nutrition, Processing, Lipid Chemistry, Olive Oil, Aquaculture, Lipid Bioscience and Genomics, Oleochemicals, Antioxidants, Biodiesel and Lipids in Animal Science.

The Congress Social Program has been specifically designed to allow delegates time away from the formalities of the congress sessions to network and exchange ideas with colleagues and friends from around the world.

Sydney is situated on one of the worlds most beautiful and famous harbours. Renowned for its iconic landmarks, the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, delegates and their partners will be have the opportunity to experience a unique social and tour program showcasing the highlight's of Sydney.

I look forward to welcoming you to Sydney in 2009
